Michael Stars East Hampton Grand Opening

In celebration of Michael Stars' first east coast boutique opening in East Hampton, Mariska Hargitay, Founder & President of the Joyful Heart Foundation, along with Hamptons Magazine, hosted an invitation-only shopping event to benefit Joyful Heart on Saturday, July 24. During the two-hour private event, guests had the opportunity to mingle with Michael Cohen and be the first to shop from the Michael Stars Fall 2010 collection, featuring classic styles and fashion-forward designs and accessories.
The event also celebrated the collaboration of the limited edition Joyful Heart charity tee between Michael Stars and Mariska. For every Joyful Heart tee sold, Michael Stars gives a tee to a woman in one of Joyful Heart's healing and wellness programs and donates $5 per purchase to the Joyful Heart Foundation. By the end of the event, all Joyful Heart tees were sold. To further benefit Joyful Heart Foundation, Michael Stars donated 15% of event sales to help support victims of sexual assault, domestic violence and child abuse.
This exclusive event attracted a prominent group of shoppers and more than seventy people stopped by to show their support for Joyful Heart and Michael Stars. The overall response was terrific as customers raved about the look and feel of the store as well as fall product and imagery, and the event produced record sales.
