Resources for Teens
The Joyful Heart Foundation strongly supports and recommends the organizations and individuals listed in this section. We believe that they can assist you during your recovery and healing process.

A range of services are covered and it is important that you find the appropriate trained professional for your needs - whether they are therapeutic, wellness, creative arts, or emergency services, legal assistance, or medical care and mental health treatment. Because we are not a crisis center we emphasize the best places to connect with to receive more immediate help and on-going guidance.

If you are in crisis or need immediate assistance, please call 911 or go to your local hospital emergency department. If you are experiencing suicidal ideations please contact one of the following 24-hour National Suicide Hotlines: (800) SUICIDE (784-2433) or (800) 273-TALK (8255).

It is never too late to seek guidance and assistance. We hope this will allow you to get the support you deserve.

In response to the alarming rates of teen dating abuse through technology and the severe knowledge gap between parents and their teens, the National Domestic Violence Hotline (NDVH) and Liz Claiborne Inc. joined together to launch loveisrespect.org, The National Teen Dating Abuse Helpline (NTDAH). The Joyful Heart Foundation is pleased to support their efforts.

This 24-hour national web-based and telephone resource is available to help teens (ages 13-18) experiencing dating violence. If you are dealing with an abusing relationship and would like guidance and, please connect to the live chat below.
