NFL Players Say NO MORE

Beginning in the fall of 2014, headlines about these issues dominated the news, bringing with them unprecedented attention and vital conversation around domestic violence and sexual assault. Shortly after, Joyful Heart's NO MORE PSAs began airing during NFL games. Then came a groundbreaking opportunity involve players in sharing this critical message.

The Cast

We were honored and humbled that so many players—both current and former stars—wanted to participate. Some joined because they had personally experienced violence and abuse and wanted to speak out. Others because they wanted take a lead in bringing change. In total, nearly two dozen men of the NFL have given us their voices, their commitment, and, perhaps most significantly, a new and deeply stirring expression of their formidable power in the new NFL Players Say NO MORE video PSA campaign.

We knew that with their participation in the NO MORE PSA campaign, these athletes—role models to so many—would give a new kind of inspiration and permission to fans to say NO MORE.

The NO MORE PSA campaign was developed pro bono by Rachel Howald at the global ad agency Y&R (Young & Rubicam), produced by the Joyful Heart Foundation and Viacom’s social responsibility umbrella Viacommunity; directed by Joyful Heart Foundation founder Mariska Hargitay, actors Tate Donovan and Blair Underwood; and photographed by renowned celebrity photographer Timothy White.
