About the Brand

Design-focused and obsessed with beauty, Craftspring began by creating Christmas ornaments and holiday home decor in the post-Soviet country of Kyrgyzstan.

Now their Brooklyn-based design practice partners with artisans around the world. All of their products are designed in Brooklyn and are a collaborative effort with their artisan partners. Their designs incorporate traditional and modern techniques while upholding a commitment to ethical and sustainable practices. Everything they do is made by hand with care and intention.

Craftspring was founded by Anne Py in 2009 to support the incredible women artisans she met on a research trip in Central Asia to study women’s entrepreneurship. The beauty and talent in the region inspired Anne to help create pathways for Central Asian women to earn strong livelihoods. Since then, Craftspring’s mission has centered on supporting Artisans and Creatives, especially in areas of limited economic opportunity. As their team grows in Brooklyn and partnerships expand to workshops in India, Madagascar, Peru, Germany, and the Philippines, principles of collaboration and equity remain their North Star.

Help us create transformative joy and survivor-centered healing.
